The Ready-to-Assay MRGPRX2 Receptor Frozen Cells are a simple, thaw-and-assay cell format for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This assay assesses ligand (e.g. cortistatin-14, PAMP) based activation of MRGPRX2 GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular calcium. The included cell line overexpresses MRGPRX2 alongside endogenous high levels of a promiscuous G-protein, coupling the receptor to the calcium signaling pathway. Upon activation of MRGPRX2, the resulting calcium activity can be fluorescently assayed. Ready-to-assay kits consist of two vials of the stably modified clonal cell line in a convenient thaw-and-use format. Tyrosine-protein kinase transmembrane receptor ROR1 is also known as Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase, receptor-related 1 (NTRKR1), which belongs to the protein kinase superfamily or tyr protein kinase family or ROR subfamily. ROR1 contains 1 FZ (frizzled) domain, 1 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain, 1 kringle domain, 1 protein kinase domain. ROR1 is expressed at high levels during early embryonic development.
